The PX2-S3-4I2E PCIe 2.0 x2 4-ch SATA III 6 Gbps Controller Card with 4 SATA & 2 eSATA Port features a Marvel 88SE9230 chipset and adds four SATA 3 and two e-SATA III ports to a computer through a PCIe 2.0 x2 slot, delivering multiple internal 6Gbps connections for SATA III hard drives and SSDs. Featuring Hyper Duo technology, the SATA card offers SSD auto-tiring which lets you balance the performance advantages of SSD storage with the cost-effectiveness and large capacity of standard hard drives. By combining 2 SSD and 2 HDD drives into a single volume, Hyper Duo discreetly works in the background to identify and move frequently accessed files to the faster SSD drive(s) for improved data throughput. The Hyper Duo automatic storage tiring feature is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and above.

The SATA III card features Port Multiplier (PM) support on each port, which allows multiple drives to be connected over a single cable when necessary to maximize the number of SATA device connections while reducing the amount of cabling required. The card is fully compliant with the SATA revision 3.0 specification (up to 6Gbps of data bandwidth), enabling you to utilize the speeds of high performance hard drives and Solid State Drives (SSD), as well as SATA-based optical drives (CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, Blu-Ray).
